Another well-known star from the first generation of K-Pop is gearing up to introduce a new girl group to the industry. Kim Tae Woo from the legendary boy group god will produce and manage a new group under his company, Gemstone E&M.
The current plans are for the girl group to debut next year, with preparations already underway.
According to reports from different media outlets, Kim Tae Woo will not only oversee the group’s debut but will also serve as its main producer. A creative team will be formed around him to shape the group’s concept and direction.

There has been increasing interest in K-pop idols taking on producer roles, especially after TVXQ’s Kim Jaejoong successfully launched the girl group Say My Name. With Kim Tae Woo now preparing his own group, fans are eager to see what kind of impact his expertise will have.

Kim first entered the industry in 1999 as the main vocalist of god, a group that played a major role in shaping the K-Pop industry. His powerful and unique voice made him stand out, earning him a reputation as one of the best idol vocalists of his time. His solo career further showcased his musical style, solidifying his place as a respected artist in Korea’s music scene.
In addition to singing, Kim Tae Woo has also proven his talent in songwriting and production. Over the years, he has worked with multiple artists, including Jisoo Park (KIXS), and has composed several of his own songs. His experience in both performing and producing is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the upcoming girl group.

Meanwhile, Gemstone E&M is also home to fellow god member Danny Ahn, proving the company’s strong ties to one of K-Pop’s most influential early groups.
