Kim Soo Hyun is currently embroiled in controversy regarding the late actress Kim Sae Ron. Amid the allegations, it was revealed that the event, the 2025 Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival (also known as the 2025 Sakura Festival) in Taiwan made no changes to Kim Soo Hyun’s scheduled appearance.

It was then reported that 50 police officers were set to be deployed at the event due to it being the first public appearance since the scandal.

On March 25, the official Instagram account of the event shared a notice that the actor would no longer be appearing at the event, explaining that they were refunding everyone, but fans could still watch the other performances for free that day.
Those who purchased a ticket for March 30, 2025 will still be able to enter and watch the performances on that day. The organizer will begin the refund process on March 31, 2025 at 10am. Those who purchased a ticket for March 30, 2025 can request a full refund.

The second shot then shared more information, including where to get refunds and explaining that it was due to a “schedule change.”
