Since BTS debuted twelve years ago, ARMYs have learned a lot about the group’s seven members. Even so, much of the idols’ pre-debut lives still isn’t known to the public.
Like the rest of BTS, RM tends to keep his personal life and public life separate, especially when it comes to his family. He does, however, occasionally share photos and snippets about his pre-debut days with fans.
On January 20, RM shared new childhood photos of himself and his dad in an Instagram story. In the photos, RM’s dad is posing for the camera while carrying little RM on his back. According to the photos’ timestamps, RM was just three years old at the time.
RM also shared details about his birth. Given that he was 4.47 kg (9.8 lbs) when he was born, it seems like RM was destined to become one of the biggest members of BTS! In Korea, the average weight for male newborns is between 2.5 kg and 4 kg.
After seeing RM’s birth weight, fans had nothing but good things to say about RM’s mom. ARMYs thank her for her service!
