A recent incident at a university has sparked outrage after CCTV footage revealed a professor engaging in inappropriate behavior during a student’s father’s funeral.
The footage — made public on August 11 by KBC — shows Professor A acting inappropriately at the funeral service held in May.
In the disturbing video, Professor A is seen approaching a woman standing near the incense altar and forcibly embracing her. Despite her attempts to resist and avoid the professor, she was unable to break free from his grip.
The situation escalated further as the professor, reportedly intoxicated, continued his inappropriate conduct by dancing during the ritual for the deceased and making offensive remarks to the mourners present.
The student, referred to as B, who was responsible for the funeral arrangements, has expressed profound distress over the professor’s actions. B suffered not only from the physical contact but also from the emotional turmoil caused by the incident. After two weeks of internal struggle, B decided to reveal the professor’s misconduct on social media, which eventually led to a brief and belated apology from the professor via text message.
However, B later disclosed that they were pressured by the professor’s aides and other faculty members to delete the social media post and keep the incident under wraps.
The post was removed within a day, but the pressure continued. B was reportedly urged to apologize to the professor and suffered further emotional harm due to false rumors spreading within the university.
In response to the growing controversy, the university has suspended Professor A and referred the case to the Student Rights Center for further investigation. Meanwhile, the professor himself has stated that he will address the situation once the investigation concludes.
