On July 4, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa was hit with allegations of plagiarism regarding her new release “Rockstar.”
Gabriel Moses, a self-taught photographer and videographer from London who has worked with the likes of Pharrell, A$ AP Rocky, Skepta, and Travis Scott, called out the alleged plagiarism in several Instagram posts. Moses directed the music video for Travis Scott’s “FE!N,” which was released 3 months before “Rockstar”

In his posts, he seemingly gave Lisa’s company a deadline for when to reach out, with many netizens seeing his perspective on the claims.
gabriel moses (travis scott’s videographer) who shot the fein mv which lisa and her team blatantly copied, is rightfully mad since he (and the entire team) didn’t get any credits. this is honestly sick, she keeps copying black artists and styles but never gives them any credit. pic.twitter.com/KHtM3lJ7bc

On July 5, it initially seemed that Lisa’s label might have contacted Moses about his claims.
Lisa is signed to RCA Records in conjunction with LLOUD in a deal allowing her to own her masters. A fan claimed that they had received proof of a redacted email sent by an RCA Records staff that seemed to imply that action would be taken against him for the claims.
I’m doing u a favor @gabrielomoses. Open the email with the subject ‘Accusations of Plagiarism’ that one of the RCA Records staff sent you for the sake of your career.
P.S. This SS was sent to me by them. 😉 Now keep streaming Lisa’s ‘Rockstar’ and let them handle this issue. https://t.co/djTNRhXVve pic.twitter.com/Ee3XRsBfhY

Moses was instructed to check his email for the alleged RCA message, which he did as seen in a screenshot he posted on X. The screenshot of the same email revealed that it was not RCA that had corresponded with him, but rather “representatives of Lisa’s fanbases,” seemingly attempting to intimidate him.

The harassment against Moses has also gone beyond demands for the situation to be resolved through companies, with unrelated posts on X and Instagram being flooded with hate comments.
As there has been no official statement regarding the allegations from Lisa’s side.
