Denver Broncos fans are patiently awaiting the release of the 2024 NFL schedule and it seems that we may have a date for that to happen. According to Ben Fischer of The Sports Business Journal, a memo was sent out to all 32 teams stating that the schedule will come out at 8:00 pm ET on Wednesday, May 15.
That will lead to much speculation as it relates to the Broncos. Who will they open the season against? How many times will they play on national television? When will they face the Kansas City Chiefs? The answers to all of these questions could come next Wednesday but for now, we will attempt to predict how some of the schedule will play out.
As a reminder, the Broncos will play games against these teams this coming season:
Home
Kansas City
Las Vegas
Los Angeles Chargers
Cleveland
Pittsburgh
Carolina
Atlanta
Indianapolis
Away
Kansas City
Las Vegas
Los Angeles Chargers
Baltimore
Cincinnati
Tampa Bay
New Orleans
Seattle
New York Jets
The Broncos schedule, along with the rest of the NFL schedule, will be released NEXT Wednesday, May 15.

Denver Broncos 2024 schedule predictions
Prediction #1: The Broncos will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1
I wrote about this at length, and it just makes sense. It will make even more sense if the league puts it in a national television slot on Sunday or Monday night.
The idea of Russell Wilson coming back to Denver to face his former team and head coach, Sean Payton, while the Broncos start the career of Bo Nix, presumably. It would be a game that could garner plenty of national attention and that is what the league is looking for in a season opener.
Prediction No. 2: The Broncos will play in four prime-time games
When a schedule is released, one of the first things fans look for is how many times the team will make an appearance on prime-time television. That used to mean Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football but with the league expanding its presence in recent years, that now means Thursday Night Football or a game on Thanksgiving night or perhaps even Black Friday.
I predict that the Broncos will be on prime-time four times this season. The opponents will be the New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs. The fourth game will be the Thursday night matchup which every team gets each season. For fun, we’ll say that is against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Prediction No. 3: The Broncos will close the season at home against… the Raiders
For the second straight year, the Broncos will close out the season against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to this prediction. The Broncos have lost eight straight to their most-hated rival and if they don’t beat them in the first matchup in 2024, that streak would be at nine games at this point.
The Broncos have not beaten the Raiders since December 29, 2019. That was a 16-15 victory to close out that season. Could they really go five years without a win over the silver and black?
