Star receiver Justin Jefferson has flourished in eight career games against the Lions. The fifth-year pro has six career 100-yard performances against Detroit, including a 192-yard outing last January.
For the Lions (4-1), Sunday offers an opportunity to reassert themselves as the team to beat in the NFC North. Jared Goff and company are coming off a 47-9 thrashing of the Cowboys, with Goff throwing for 315 yards and three touchdowns.
Detroit will have to prove its mettle without Aidan Hutchinson. The NFL sack leader broke his tibia and fibula last Sunday.
