This was talked about earlier in the day but now that the 2024 NFL schedule has been officially released, the Los Angeles Chargers and their social media team have dropped an absolute banger. Though you have to pay close attention and maybe watch it a few times, there are some incredibly great subtle jabs taken in this video, which lasts about three minutes and 20 seconds.
should we REALLY make our schedule release video in the sims?

That. Was. Awesome.
Though there is plenty inside that Sims-related video to enjoy, I have picked out the six jokes that may have been the best, though everyone will have their own taste, so watch it. Then watch it again.
Best jokes from Los Angeles Chargers viral release video
Kelce brothers podcast and Travis Kelce’s long-forgotten tweet
Travis Kelce made a brutal tweet in 2011 about feeding a squirrel. The video pokes fun at that tweet and the terrible spelling within it while also getting in a slight dig at the “New Heights” podcast that Travis and Jason Kelce host together.
Of course, anything with Travis Kelce would not be complete without an appearance from T-Swift.
Russell Wilson arrives in Pittsburgh
Russell Wilson moves to Pittsburgh to be the team’s new quarterback, popping out of a truck with the company name “Broncos Country: Let’s Move” on it. Wilson is greeted by George Pickens, who is wearing a ski mask and reacting to the Steelers drafting him, just as he did here.
Russell Wilson & Justin Fields coming from moving trucks and the other Easter eggs like the Jagr bobbleheads for the Steelers in their Sims-themed release video is very creative. #Steelers #NFL https://t.co/75wgepzBSJ pic.twitter.com/paSObbUCP4

Wilson then sees Justin Fields come in right after him and is less than thrilled.
Kirko Chainz
Speaking of quarterbacks being upset by another quarterback joining the team, Kirk Cousins, in his ‘Kirko Chainz’ persona, is shown DJ’ing at a nightclub which Michael Penix Jr. then shows up to, much to the surprise of Cousins.
NO WAY… Migos at the Atlanta Stripclub, with Kirk Cousins DJing, & Lou Williams in the background pic talking about Lemon Pepper Wings 💀💀💀
Michael Penix walks in and Kirk goes crazy 😳

Broncos at Ball-Mart
The Denver Broncos, very famously owned by the people who own Wal-Mart, are shown returning (or trying to return) their players. This includes Jerry Jeudy, Justin Simmons, and yes… Russell Wilson.
But the Chargers play the Broncos twice every year so they had to take another dig and show the Broncos going to the wishing well and trying to wish for cap space only to get the message “Wishing Well Error- Did you mean dead cap space?” was quite good.
Chiefsaholic
Remember the massive Chiefs fan who was arrested for a bank robbery last year? No? Well, read about it here. And yes, the Chargers went there.
Saints voodoo doll
The Chargers will face the New Orleans Saints this year so what better than to have someone come across a voodoo doll on the streets of New Orleans. This happened to be a Falcons fan and he has some great choices to choose from:
– Minneapolis Miracle
– Bounty Gate
– No PI Call
– Kevin James as Sean Payton
He selects the last option, which of course is a shot at the movie “Home Team” where James plays Payton following the “Bountygate” scandal.
Harrison Butker in the kitchen
You have to watch this a few times to catch it and it’s just a short piece of the video, but you actually see Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker in the kitchen. What is the origin of this?
They put Harrison Butker in he kitchen cooking & cleaning 💀💀💀 https://t.co/hab8sgKA3g pic.twitter.com/l7Zxm3q6In

Butker’s recent comments at a commencement speech were sure to land him in a pool of controversy and it didn’t take long for the folks working for the Chargers’ social media team to take advantage. This was just brutal but in many ways, the best part of the clip.
