The Texans and Kamari Lassiter agreed on a contract Thursday, one day before the team’s rookie minicamps were set to begin.
Lassiter signed a four-year, $ 9.014 million contract with a $ 3.376 million signing bonus, per KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson. The Texans drafted Lassiter with the No. 42 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft after Houston traded back from No. 23 days before.
Lassiter’s usage in camp will be one of the major storylines to watch this weekend. He’s a versatile player who could be a hit undersized as an outside cornerback. That could play to Lassiter’s advantage, though, as the Texans may look to move him around in the secondary before picking his position for the 2024 season.
