If you’re going to spend hours of your life watching a K-Drama, the series had better be worth it, right? On Reddit, viewers were asked to name the K-Dramas they most regretted watching until the final credits rolled. Here are 5 of them.
1. When the Phone Rings
When the Phone Rings is a 2024 Netflix romance thriller about a couple who married for convenience. Their lives begin to spiral after a kidnapper’s threatening phone call.
Some viewers who had become invested in When the Phone Rings weren’t happy about the finale. One viewer, who tuned in every weekend, called out the K-Drama’s “inexplicable noble idiocy” and “sputtering” script that took a turn after the first half of the series.

2. Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol
Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol is a 2020 K-Drama about a cheerful pianist who lost everything and the part-time worker she crosses paths with in a countryside town.
The ending of this series received plenty of backlash at the time of its release, and it looks like that sentiment hasn’t changed in 2025. One viewer who regretted watching the entire show called the last two episodes “emotional manipulation.”

3. The Trunk
In this 2024 Netflix mystery-drama, a woman working as a wife-for-hire is preparing to enter her fourth marriage, this time to a music producer who misses his ex-wife. The arrival of a mysterious trunk disrupts both their lives.
The Trunk made headlines for its explicit sexual content, as well as its more tender moments, and some viewers had a hard time liking the characters and plot. Some of the viewers who stuck it out to the last episode were disappointed by the outcome, one even describing The Trunk as “a mess.”

4. A Virtuous Business
A Virtuous Business is a 2024 K-Drama about the four Bangpan Sisters. Together, they start a risque door-to-door business (adult products) in a rural village in 1992.
Viewers tuned into each episode for wacky antics, friendship, and more, but some were left disappointed by the finale.

5. Chicken Nugget
Netflix‘s 2024 K-Drama, Chicken Nugget is based on Park Ji Dok‘s Webtoon Dak Gang Geong (Sweet & Sour Chicken). It follows a woman who is transformed into fried chicken by accident. (That could happen to anyone…right?)
For some K-Drama fans, the premise was just too absurd to watch the show in the first place, but others gobbled up each episode. Unfortunately, for some viewers, Chicken Nugget ended up being a little too experimental for their tastes.
