In the early 2000s, actress Yoon Eun Hye was one of Korea’s brightest breakout stars. Some of her best-known works include Princess Hours (2006) and Coffee Prince (2007). Unfortunately, controversies eventually hindered her meteorite rise.

Yoon Eun Hye debuted in 1999 as a member of the first-generation girl group Baby V.O.X before transitioning to acting in 2006. By the time she won “Best Actress” at the 44th Baeksang Arts Awards, she was one of the Korean entertainment industry’s highest-paid actresses. Eun Hye also became the youngest actress to ever win “Best Actress,” beating out veteran actresses Park Jin Hee and Kim Hee Ae.

In 2007, Eun Hye’s image took a hit after her agency, Eight Peaks, spread rumors about the actress’s unprofessionalism. This came after Eun Hye took steps to terminate her contract, which resulted in the agency forcing her to withdraw from the K-Drama Que Sera Sera after she had already committed to the project. After numerous disagreements, Eun Hye and Eight Peaks eventually went their separate ways.

After signing with a new agency, Eun Hye went on to star in more popular K-Dramas, such as Missing You (2012) and Marry Him If You Dare (2013). However, a new controversy arose after Eun Hye won first place on Goddess Fashion, a Chinese fashion design survival show, in 2015. Eun Hye was accused of plagiarizing Korean fashion designer Yoon Choon Ho. Eun Hye was also accused of ripping off another dress, from Dolce & Gabbana‘s 2015 Fall/Winter collection. Eun Hye denied the allegations but later made a public apology.

Initially, a representative for Eun Hye stated that the actress would not be stepping back from the spotlight and was expected to take on new projects. Eun Hye did, however, end up going on a hiatus. She returned to Korean entertainment in 2017 with a variety show appearance on tvN‘s Dear Pet, We Need to Talk and made her K-Drama comeback in Love Alert (2018).
Since then, Eun Hye has starred in the 2-episode K-Drama Go Go Song (2019) and appeared on a few variety shows, including Law of the Jungle in Zero Point and Hangout with Yoo. She also redebuted as an idol in 2022 as a member of the project supergroup WSG Wannabe.

Eun Hye is currently active on Instagram, where she posts photos from her daily life, behind the scenes, and more.
