The Bayou Barbie is now Chi-Town Barbie, and she’s about to make her professional debut.
Angel Reese is ready for the WNBA. She went off the Sky’s preseason games, recording 13 points and nine rebounds in Chicago’s 92-81 loss to the Lynx. The Sky then routed the Liberty 101-53, a game in which Reese scored another 13 points and five rebounds.
Unfortunately, the former LSU star will be without her rival-turned-teammate Kamilla Cardoso. The former Gamecock is out for a few weeks because of a shoulder injury , putting her debut on hold for now.
Chicago will tip off against the Wings to open the 2024 season. Dallas beat the Fever 79-76 in the preseason thanks to Arike Ogunbowale’s game-winning 3-pointer.
The season opener between the Wings and Sky will be a test of who can find their footing from the get-go.

The Sky-Wings tipoff their first game of the season on Wednesday, May 15. The game will begin at 8 p.m. ET live from College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.

Unfortunately, the Sky-Wings game will not broadcast nationally. It can still be streamed online, though.
