We are one day away from the 2024 NFL schedule being released, which means we’ll finally know the exact dates and times for every game of the Detroit Lions’ upcoming season in the middle of this week.
The league announced on Monday morning that schedules will be revealed on Wednesday, May 15, at 8 p.m. ET, something that was reported last week. The release will be broadcast on NFL Network and ESPN2, although teams will be doing their own thing on social media, also.
The NFL also revealed which teams will take part in the first game of the 2024 campaign. The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Sept. 5, to begin the season.
We also know that the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles will meet for the second contest of 2024 on Friday, Sept. 6, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In total, six contests have been revealed thus far. Here they are:

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, more games are set to be revealed in a slow trickle leading up to the official release, so we may know one or more of the Lions’ games before Wednesday.

- As of Tuesday evening, the Lions are the only team out of the four to appear in a conference title game in 2023 to not have a game revealed yet. The other three also all have primetime games in Week 1 (source). The Sunday night game for Week 1 has not been revealed yet, though.
