The 29th season of the WNBA tips off this week, and the collective betting interest in the league seems higher than ever.
Not surprisingly, the Aces (+100) and Liberty (+225) sit atop the 2024 championship futures odds boards. Las Vegas beat New York 3-1 last year in the Finals, joining the Los Angeles Sparks (2001-02) and the Houston Comets (1997-2000) as the only teams in league history to win consecutive titles.

With two teams yielding such short odds, plenty of betting value can be found at +1000 and longer at the start of what should be a record-breaking campaign. Can the Storm or Sun power their way into contention? Will Caitlin Clark lead the Fever into a dream-like postseason run? The odds suggest all of the above are entirely possible.
Let’s take a look at the WNBA Championship odds board, and highlight some value bets, sleeper picks, and notable projected win totals for the 2024 season.

WNBA championship odds 2024: Best bets
Las Vegas Aces (+100)
Las Vegas has earned the right to sit atop the WNBA championship odds and every best bet feature until further notice. The Aces have the best player in the league in two-time MVP and reigning back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year A’ja Wilson, and a strong supporting cast comprised of Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young.
It’s the strongest core rotation in professional basketball, the biggest reason why the Aces swept the 2023 WNBA Finals and won the 2024 title over New York in four games. Bettors may regard +100 as too short to bet a team on a season-long futures market, but understand that Vegas also won’t be yielding plus odds for very long once sportsbooks start taking on more and more Aces-related liability.
New York Liberty (+225)
The Liberty took runner-up in the 2023 WNBA Finals, and they arguably have the second-best roster going into the 2024 campaign. Reigning MVP Breanna Stewart seems to get better each year, and she and 2021 MVP Jonquel Jones comprise one of the best 1-2 punches in the league.
New York also has elite 3-point shooter Sabrina Ionescu, hyper-efficient veteran point guard Courtney Vandersloot, and talented perimeter scorer Betnijah Laney. The Liberty could easily overtake the Aces as the juggernaut of the WNBA this year.

WNBA championship odds 2024: Best value pick
Connecticut Sun (+1200)
Everyone has been so enamored in the Aces, Liberty and Fever talk that they seem to be overlooking a clear contender in the Sun. Reigning Coach of the Year Stephanie White has built something special in a short amount of time, and she will have her veteran core back together following a strong 27-13 record in 2023.
Connecticut has a superb veteran duo with walking triple-double threat Alyssa Thomas and talented pure scorer DeWanna Bonner. If Brionna Jones can get back to the level she reached before rupturing her Achilles midway through last season, the Sun could easily get over the hump and get past the stubborn Liberty after losing to them last postseason.
WNBA championship odds 2024: Top sleeper
Indiana Fever (+3000)
You knew it was coming, right? The Fever went from having the third-worst record in 2023 to having the fifth-shortest odds to win it all in 2024, a jump that might not even be completely due to the Caitlin Clark hype.
Clark, already the most decorated player in the history of college basketball, should hit the ground running in the WNBA. She also has the benefit of having fellow elite offensive talent Aaliyah Boston — the 2023 No. 1 pick — as her running mate in Indy. Not too shabby for a team yielding 300-to-1 odds.

WNBA season specials: Top win total OVER
Connecticut Sun OVER 24.5 (+100)
Coming off a 27-win season with stud front court staple Brionna Jones recovered from her Achilles injury, the value with the OVER seems incredibly strong here. Connecticut has strong coaching, great veteran leadership, and plenty of scoring, and the Sun should easily retain its form as one of the top teams in the WNBA in 2024.
Indiana Fever UNDER 19.5 (-110)
The Fever have understandably already generated plenty of betting buzz, but it’s important to understand that every rebuild takes some time to develop. While the majority of the betting world smashes the OVER here, there could be strong value in the UNDER coming off a 13-win season.
