When it comes to the Detroit Lions revealing the jersey numbers their 2024 NFL Draft picks will wear, it’s better late than never. After fans were wondering when Detroit would actually release the numbers, the team has finally delivered.
On the day rookie minicamp is set to begin, the Lions revealed the jersey numbers for their six 2024 NFL Draft picks, a group that includes cornerbacks Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw Jr., safety/running back Sione Vaki, offensive tackle Giovanni Manu, guard Christian Mahogany and defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo.
Here’s a look at their digits:
CB Terrion Arnold – 0
CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr. – 15
S/LB Sione Vaki – 33
OT Giovanni Manu – 59
G Christian Mahogany – 73
DL Mekhi Wingo – 94
Seeing Arnold rocking the No. 0 in the secondary will be awesome.
Of those six players, four of them have signed their rookie contracts. Detroit also made their undrafted free-agent signings official. The Lions announced they have inked Mahogany, Manu, Vaki and Wingo ahead of rookie minicamp, along with 15 undrafted free agents.
That leaves Arnold and Rakestraw as the only two draft picks who have yet to be signed.
We should see all of the Lions’ rookies — including the undrafted free agents — at rookie minicamp, which begins on Friday, May 10, and runs through Sunday, May 12.
One person we won’t see at rookie minicamp is head coach Dan Campbell, who is reportedly set to miss it due to an unknown personal reason.
