SEVENTEEN Jeonghan‘s comment, made during the group’s latest fan sign event, caught CARATs off guard and has since shattered their hearts.
When asked to convince non-CARATs to convert, Jeonghan pointed out that all 13 members “have different charms,” so picking one should not be a problem…
…except for him.
Jeonghan: Well… There is plenty to pick from, and they all have different charms. So, please, head on over. But… do know that soon, I won’t be around.
Fans: Aw, what?! No!
Amid his fellow group-mates panicking with the fans in the audience…

…it became obvious that Jeonghan was hinting at his enlistment.
Born 1995, Jeonghan is due to complete his military service as a Korean male citizen. Knowing Jeonghan’s recent surgeries, CARATs are—inevitably—concerned and heartbroken over the fact that the idol will, most likely, have to enlist by the end of 2024 or early 2025.
- “Please postpone it as long as you can… Go next year, please.”
- “My baby! T-T I’m bawling.”
- “But he had surgeries done on both his arms and legs. How is he supposed to serve in the military?!”
- “94-born have all enlisted… So if he’s 95-born, he’s definitely next.”
- “I’m crying, though… How does he expect me to let him go?”
- “Wait, so Jeonghan does have to enlist?”
- “He was so beautiful and lovely yesterday… but hearing him say that, I was torn. Like, he’s such a baby. Where is he going?! He made me tear up.”
- “Sucks because he’s on the weaker side because of all the surgeries that he had to go under… I know he’s athletic, so he’ll learn and adjust quickly. But still.”
Stay tuned for updates on Jeonghan.
