From the green room to making plenty of green, being backstage at the NFL Draft is a dream realized for many of the league’s next big stars.
It’s a chance to show their fashionista side, display a little bit of personality, and have some fun after the call comes through that lands them on one of the NFL’s 32 rosters. The event is typically one of celebration after years of hard work to get to this point.
Just like an exclusive party, however, not everyone is invited.
The NFL typically selects a handful of players to get the VIP treatment at the draft every year, but there will be notably fewer invites in 2024. While Roger Goodell won’t have as many hugs to share, he’ll still get a chance to meet some of this year’s best.
As the draft heads to the Motor City, here’s the list of prospects that you can expect to see walk across the stage when their name is called.

Which players are at the NFL Draft?
This year’s green room only includes 13 players after the NFL invited 16, according to ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio. The league typically has to deal with the unfortunate images of at least one player who falls farther than expected, resulting in a long and uncomfortable wait.
Titans’ QB Will Levis headlined that group in 2023, dropping out of the first round entirely. With fewer players invited, everyone should find their NFL home before the night ends.
Notre Dame tackle Joe Alt, Georgia tight end Brock Bowers, and Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy were the players who declined invites.
