The field has been cut at the 2024 Masters, and those in contention at Augusta are one step closer to securing the green jacket.
After a rainy and windy Thursday morning delayed the start of the prestigious major, the first two rounds of the Masters wrapped up Friday evening. Now, Round 3 kicks off Saturday as those still in contention embark on the final 36 holes.
Bryson DeChambeau led the field after Round 1, shooting seven under par to start his tournament. But there’s a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard entering Saturday. DeChambeau, Scottie Scheffler and Max Homa are all 6-under par.
One of the biggest storylines this weekend was the return of Tiger Woods, who was forced to withdraw from the 2023 edition of the major due to his ankle.
Despite operating at less than 100 percent health, the five-time Masters champion managed to make the cut for the 24th consecutive time at Augusta. It’s a historic achievement, as Woods broke a tie with Fred Couples and Gary Player for the most cuts made in a row at the Masters.

While there were plenty that survived the cut line, there were a number of prominent names who did not. Included in those who failed to make it to the weekend are former Masters champions Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson.
