The Seattle Seahawks are in an interesting position going into the 2024 season. They just replaced head coach Pete Carroll with Mike Macdonald and are in a state of transition. They aren’t truly rebuilding but they aren’t primed for a Super Bowl run either. Could they take the quarterback of the future?
Seahawks hosting top NFL draft QB on top-30 visit
Over the weekend, the Seahawks hosted Oregon QB Bo Nix on a top–30 visit, according to NFL insider Aaron Wilson.
Oregon @oregonfootball quarterback Bo Nix visited #Seahawks this weekend, per a league source. A Heisman Trophy finalist, Nix passed for 4,508 yards and 45 touchdowns and rushed for 234 yards and six touchdowns last season. Including time @AuburnFootball Nix passed for 15,352…

Nix is one of the more interesting prospects in the 2024 NFL draft. After three poor seasons at Auburn in a more vertical passing offense, Nix transferred to Oregon where they designed an offense that was based in short passing concepts and he started to thrive. Nix ended up setting the NCAA completion percentage record with a mark of 77.4%.
However, Nix has limitations. He isn’t a great processor nor does he drive the ball down the field. The Oregon offense led the NCAA with over 2,800 of their receiving yards coming after the catch. That number is over 400 yards ahead of second place.
Would Nix fit in well with the Seahawks? Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb loves to attack down the field which seems to be against what Nix is really good at. However, there is a chance that they believe Nix can continue growing, especially with the arsenal of weapons on the outside.
