Is Chauncey Wiggins related to Andrew Wiggins?
The Wiggins duo is fortunate enough to share the same last name and play the game of basketball, but that’s about where the connection ends.
Golden State’s Wiggins comes from Toronto, Ontario, which is quite a ways from Clemson’s forward that hails from Grayson, GA. The duo both sharing the name on the back of their jerseys is purely coincidence.
Does Andrew Wiggins have a brother?
Although Andrew is not related to Aaron or Chauncey Wiggins, the Warriors forward does have an older brother that plays basketball. Nick Wiggins went undrafted in 2014, the same year his brother was selected with the No. 1 pick by the Cavaliers.
The 33-year-old has bounced around since then, playing for 12 different teams since leaving Wichita State. Most recently, the elder Wiggins played for the Pacific Caesar Surabaya of the Indonesian Basketball League before stepping away in March to take care of a personal matter at home.
Wiggins’ other brother, Mitchell Jr., also played basketball collegiately at Southeastern University.
