LSU quarterback and 2023 Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels will hold his 2024 NFL Draft pro day Wednesday, but for Chicago Bears fans, everything comes back to Caleb Williams.
Check out this update from NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, who listed a group of teams scheduled to meet with Daniels after his workout.
Immediately following his Pro Day, #LSU QB and potential Top 3 pick Jayden Daniels is scheduled to meet with the #Patriots, #Commanders, #Giants, #Vikings, #Broncos and #Raiders, per his agent Ron Butler. Daniels has not previously met with any teams. pic.twitter.com/1wM92chLz8

Notice which team is missing? Yep, the Bears.

Daniels is a strong candidate to be the second quarterback selected in the 2024 draft. At worst, he’ll be the third (unless Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy crashes the party.) Just about every quarterback-needy team in the first round should meet with him, assuming, of course, he was on their draft board.
It’s noteworthy that the Bears aren’t meeting with Daniels. Perhaps they’ll hold a top-30 visit with him at Halas Hall in the coming weeks, but with Caleb Williams locked and loaded as the team’s selection with the first pick, any time spent with Daniels is nothing more than surface-level information gathering.
