LE SSERAFIM are, without a doubt, talented idols who attract attention with every release. However, many of these releases have been mired in controversy around plagiarism allegations.
Here is each time this has happened.
1. Chaewon’s Debut Teaser
When LE SSERAFIM made their much-anticipated debut, the roll-out included individual teaser videos. Many found Chaewon‘s teaser very similar to the music video for “Ride ‘Em On Down” by The Rolling Stones.

Many of the moments featuring Kirsten Stewart were found to be very similar to Chaewon’s video.
2. Rosalía
Multiple songs from LE SSERAFIM’s ANTIFRAGILE were hit with plagiarism allegations. Many felt the group’s songs “ANTIFRAGILE” and “UNFORGIVEN” held strong resemblances to Rosalía‘s “Linda” and “Chicken Teriyaki,” respectively.

Others found resemblances even in the concepts, though fans quickly defended the group, with “ANTIFRAGILE”‘s songwriter also chiming in.
3. Cobrah
Many listeners found that LE SSERAFIM’s “The Hydra” and “The Hydra : I’m A Mess,” held strong resemblances to “Debut” and “Dip N Drip” by Swedish musician Cobrah.
The artists share the same producer, something fans used to defend the idols against the claims.
4. Tyla
The group’s recent comeback has already been filled with controversy over several things, including the track “Smart.” Many felt the song sounded too close to Tyla‘s hit track “Water.”

Tyla seemingly responded to the claims as netizens debated on both sides.
While plagiarism allegations are serious, these should be directed towards those behind the songs, rather than used to hate on the group.
