The final hour of the 2024 NBA trade deadline is fast approaching and teams are running out of time to execute deals.
This year, the lead-up to the trade deadline has been notably quieter than in years past, but history has shown that things could intensify in an instant. As we learned in 2023, one request from a disgruntled star can turn the league upside down.
Whether or not a deal comes to fruition remains to be seen, but we’ve outlined a list of teams and players worth keeping an eye on at the deadline.

Thursday, Feb. 8
Gordon Hayward heads to the Thunder from the Hornets
Charlotte will receive guards Tre Mann and Vasilije Micić as well as forward Davis Bertans for Hayward.
Hayward, 33, will add experience to a young Oklahoma City roster. But he has struggled to stay healthy throughout his time in Charlotte, playing no more than 50 games in a single season.
While he has been sidelined since Dec. 26 with leg injuries in the final year of his deal, he has been solid when on the floor, averaging 14.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists.

Mavericks land PJ Washington, trade Seth Curry and Grant Williams to Hornets
Dallas is set to acquire Washington from the Hornets for a package that includes Curry, Williams and a first-round pick, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
In adding Washington, Dallas now adds more shooting in its frontcourt and gets a player it has been targeting for some time.

Pacers add shooting, acquire Doug McDermott from Spurs
Indiana is bringing back McDermott, who spent three seasons with Indiana from 2018 to 2021. In return the Spurs are receiving a second-round pick as well as Marcus Morris, who was traded from Philadelphia to Indiana earlier in the day.
McDermott adds much-needed shooting to Indiana, which parted ways with Buddy Hield earlier in the day.
76ers, Bucks swap Patrick Beverley for Cameron Payne
Milwaukee is set to add Beverley, as first reported by Beverley’s podcast.
Beverley is being sent to the Bucks in exchange for Cameron Payne and a second-round pick, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The deal reunites Beverley with head coach Doc Rivers, as the two were together with the Clippers.
Suns acquire Royce O’Neale from Nets, David Roddy from Grizzlies in three-team deal
Phoenix is set to bolster its wing rotation with the acquisition of O’Neale, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The expanded deal sends Roddy from Memphis to the Valley of the Sun.
More details to come, but the Suns are reportedly parting with Chimezie Metu, Brandon Goodwin, Yuta Watanabe and Keita Bates-Diop, according to Suns insider John Gambadoro.
Raptors send Dennis Schröder and Thaddeus Young to Brooklyn in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie
Toronto sends Schröder and Young to Brooklyn in exchange for Dinwiddie, per reports from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Yahoo’s Jake Fischer.
Schröder recently moved to the bench for the Raptors but is averaging 13.7 points and 6.1 assists while shooting 44.2 percent from the field and 35.0 percent from 3-point range. Dinwiddie has started in all 48 games in which he’s appeared, averaging 12.6 points and 6.0 assists per game.
Young, who appeared in 101 games with the Nets earlier in his career, has appeared in just 23 games this season. The 17-year veteran has still contributed when his number is called.
Dinwiddie’s shooting percentages have taken a dip this year but as he recently pointed out, there are several contributing factors.

Knicks trade for Bojan Bogdanović, Alec Burks from Pistons
Bogdanović, 34, is averaging 20.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists for Detroit, while Burks, 32, is averaging 12.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
In return for the pair, the Pistons will receive Quentin Grimes, Evan Fournier, Malachi Flynn, Ryan Arcidiacono and two second-round picks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.

Daniel Gafford heads from Washington to Dallas
The 6-10 center is averaging 10.9 points and 8.0 rebounds for Washington in his age 25 season. He is under contract through 2026.
Dallas is sending Richaun Holmes and draft compensation in exchange for Gafford.
76ers acquire Buddy Hield from Pacers
Hield is headed to Philadelphia in exchange for Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz and three second-round picks.
The only player who has hit more 3s since Hield was drafted in 2016 is the greatest shooter of all time, Stephen Curry. He’ll join a 76ers team looking to build a championship roster in the absence of injured star Joel Embiid.
Raptors pick up Kelly Olynyk in multi-player deal with Jazz
Toronto acquired the Canadian forward and Ochai Agbaji from Utah in exchange for Kira Lewis Jr., Otto Porter Jr. and a first-round pick.
Olynyk, 32, has career averages of 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists, and he is in the final year of his contract.

Wednesday, Feb. 7
Timberwolves add guard depth, acquire Monte Morris from Pistons
Minnesota has added one of the league’s more solid guards in Morris, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Morris boasts impressive career averages of 10.4 points, 4.0 assists and 0.8 turnovers per game.
In return, Detroit is receiving Shake Milton, Troy Brown Jr. and a second-round pick in 2030.
Morris has played in just six games with the Pistons this season but now arrives to a contending Timberwolves team that sought point guard depth behind veteran Mike Conley
Celtics land Xavier Tillman from Grizzlies
The Celtics are set to add Tillman, a 6-7 big man who has spent each of his first four NBA seasons in Memphis, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. In return, Boston is sending Lamar Stevens and two future second-round picks via Atlanta (2027) and Dallas (2030).
Tillman, 25, bolsters the Celtics’ frontcourt rotation. He provides a third option to log minutes to either spell or play alongside one of Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis.
Pistons acquire Simone Fontecchio from Jazz
After being linked to a list of contenders, Fontecchio is headed to the Pistons for Kevin Knox, the draft rights to Gabriele Procida and a 2024 second-round pick via the Wizards, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Fontecchio is 28 but is in his second NBA season. He’s garnered a reputation for his shooting ability as he’s canned 39.1 percent of his 3-pointers this season.
