Following a recent fan meeting event, a fan accused ZEROBASEONE‘s Kim Jiwoong of cursing after the video call was over.
In addition to a short clip as “proof,” the fan called questions about his behavior—asking if it’s usual to end a fan call with a “ssibal” (or “F*ck”).
ZEROBASEONE’s Kim Jiwoong Allegedly Caught Cursing After A Video Call With A Fan “Ends”
Since the controversial clip has gone viral, ZEROBASEONE’s management, WAKEONE, responded via South Korean press MK Sports that the accusations are “not true.”

Do you usually say f*ck after talking to fans? I’m not sure so I’m asking other Zerozes’ thoughts.

WAKEONE defended the idol, commenting that the idol himself and other administrative and interpreting staff members confirmed that no cursing took place.
We checked with Kim Jiwoong himself and confirmed that the accusations are not true. Other administrative and interpreting staff also confirmed, too.

The management also warned legal action against those spreading false information, after investigating the issue at hand and getting the clip(s) analyzed by a “digital media forensic team.”
For an even more accurate and unbiased analysis of what happened, we’ll work with a digital media forensic team and other professional methods to unveil the truth. We’re going to do everything we can to protect the artist under our management.
— WAKEONE
Prior to this statement, WAKEONE did issue another warning about “various crimes against ZEROBASEONE.” The supposedly “ill-timed” statement sparked its own round of backlash.
