Racing season unofficially gets underway this weekend as Daytona International Speedway hosts the Rolex 24.
The 24-hour marathon race is a true test of endurance, though plenty of experienced drivers who have faced the challenge before will be behind the wheel. That won’t include Helio Castroneves, who was part of the winning team in each of the last three 24 Rolex races.
Castroneves’ team, Meyer Shank Racing, pulled out of the race after the fallout from a cheating scandal that rocked the aftermath of its 24 Rolex win last January.
There will still be 59 cars racing at Daytona between Saturday and Sunday, with Pipo Derani and Whelan Cadillac Racing taking pole position after an impressive qualifying session.
Here are the full results from Rolex 24 at Daytona, featuring all five different categories.
