On January 16, former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin posted several screenshots of text messages received from a news reporter on her Instagram stories.
She expressed her frustration as the reporter requested a rebuttal from her side regarding the Telegram message.
Hello, this is Chosun Biz reporter Jang Woo Jung. I’m leaving a message because it’s early in the morning. I have obtained the conversation between you and a NewJeans member’s uncle from September 14, 2024, and have reported on it. It is about the Ministry of Employment and Labor. If you have a rebuttal regarding this, I would like to add it. I will wait for your response.

To this, Min left a long response regarding the news article released.
“Hello, you have been reporting false news daily. I have some questions for you. I don’t know the government official and have never requested or commanded anything. The article is all false and filled with speculation.
If you had seen the entire conversation with the uncle, you would know that he had contacted me suddenly and that there had been no related conversation on that day, as well as before and after that day. I am not the main speaker, but was rather receiving the recommendation.
Like the last article, the conversation has been edited with content unrelated to the matter and is written as if the content behind it had some basis.
If you had read the conversation from the next day, you would have known that the situation was totally the opposite. I find this a serious violation of journalism ethics, as you intentionally wrote it as if I were the speaker and the target of misunderstanding. You also wrote the last article based on false facts and speculation.”

She also demanded that they take down the article and apologize.
Writing articles with groundless content without confirmation makes me suspect that the media outlet received bribes from HYBE. And instead of asking me for a rebuttal, shouldn’t you have checked before publishing? I wonder if it’s ok for a reporter to slander normal citizens like this. I think you should delete the article and apologize to me.
