A pivotal SEC matchup is set to take place on Saturday afternoon, as Oklahoma will travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium for a Week 5 clash with Auburn.
Both the Sooners and Tigers have started two quarterbacks throughout the first few weeks of the season. Jackson Arnold started the first four games of the season for Oklahoma before getting pulled in the second quarter of a 25-15 loss to Tennessee. Michael Hawkins Jr., who replaced Arnold and threw for 132 yards and one touchdown in that loss, will be the starter against Auburn.
Payton Thorne started the first two games of the season for the Tigers, but a rough performance against California forced Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze to turn to Hank Brown against New Mexico. However, Freeze went back to Thorne last week against Arkansas, and Thorne will reportedly start on Saturday.
