The Cardinals were missing one of their most dangerous weapons when they tried to mount a comeback against the Lions on Sunday.
Late in the fourth quarter, Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray connected with tight end Trey McBride on a nine-yard reception as it tried to march down the field to cut into Detroit’s lead.
McBride was fighting for extra yards when he had a head-on collision with Lions safety Brian Branch. Both players hit the turf and stayed down on the field.

Trey McBride injury update
McBride collected a nine-yard reception from Murray and tried to pick up some extra yards when he collided with Branch.
Both players tried to go low, resulting in a direct head-to-head collision that had both players down on the field.

McBride and Branch both walked off the field under their own power and were taken into their respective medical tents.
The Cardinals announced that McBride was being evaluated for a concussion.

Detroit’s offense took over on the next possession and never gave the ball back, picking up two first downs to come away with a win. Since Arizona’s offense never got back on the field, there was no update provided on McBride’s status.

Even before the head injury, it was a quiet day for McBride’s standards. He only hauled in three of his six targets for 25 yards and did not score a touchdown.
Marvin Harrison Jr. led the team with 11 targets, five receptions, 64 yards, and one touchdown. Michael Wilson made an impact in the passing game as well, collecting eight receptions for 64 yards.
