The Europa League is the biggest major European trophy available to clubs across the continent who did not qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
While it may not be in the same category as the Champions League, the Europa League is still an important competition and, crucially, can earn a team Champions League status if they go all the way.
Bayer Leverkusen were defeated by Atalanta 3-0 in the 2024 final, held in Dublin. It was the Italian side’s first significant trophy since 1963 and proved to be Leverkusen’s only competitive defeat in all competitions throughout the season.
From the Premier League, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will be competing in the Europa League in 2024/25 as the tournament begins a new era, following in the footsteps of the expanded Champions League.
Below are the key details on when and where the final will take place.
