Real Madrid will face Atalanta in the 2024 UEFA Super Cup at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland on August 14, as the 2024 Champions League winners face the reigning Europa League holders.
With five UEFA Super Cup titles, Real Madrid are currently tied with AC Milan and Barcelona for the most wins in the competition, and they have the chance to make history with a record-breaking sixth triumph on Wednesday.
Despite being the underdogs, Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta should not be underestimated, having stunned the rest of the continent to win the second-tier UEFA competition by beating Bayer Leverkusen back in May.
But the question everyone is asking ahead of the match is whether or not Kylian Mbappe will make his Los Blancos debut?

Real Madrid vs. Atalanta lineups, team news
Real Madrid will be without the services of the now-retired Toni Kroos for the first time in competitive action, while Nacho Fernandez has moved to the Saudi Pro League to play for Al-Qadsian.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team will also be without David Alaba, who is still recovering from an ACL injury.
What the Spanish giants will have, however, is Kylian Mbappe. The France captain made a summer move to Madrid following a seven-season stint at Paris Saint-Germain and while he didn’t play on the preseason tour in the United States, he has been in Madrid training.
It remains to be seen whether Jude Bellingham will be eased back into action with a bit-part role, with Ancelotti thought to be keen to give him maximum rest after his exploits with England at Euro 2024.
Real Madrid predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Courtois (GK) — Carvajal, Rudiger, Militao, Mendy — Valverde, Tchouameni, Bellingham — Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vinicius Junior

Atalanta has been busy over the transfer window, with coach Gian Piero Gasperini making several signings to replace the players who left the club after the 2023/24 season.
The team however, continues to boast the services of striker Ademola Lookman, who scored a hat-trick in the Europa League final to beat Leverkusen, and he will once again lead the line here.
Gianluca Scamacca and Giorgio Scalvini are injured.
Atalanta predicted lineup (3-4-2-1 right to left): Djimsiti, Hien, Kolasinac — Zappacosta, Pasalic, Ederson, Ruggeri — Lookman, De Ketelaere — Retegui
