The Detroit Lions have made an addition to their offensive line in free agency, with the team signing former Tennessee Titans tackle, Jamarco Jones.
According to Jones’ agency, the offensive lineman signed a deal with the Lions on Saturday. The length and financial terms of the contract were not immediately disclosed.
A former fifth-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 2019, Jones spent his first three seasons in the NFL with the team before he signed with the Titans in free agency in 2022.
After missing the entire 2022 campaign due to injury, Jones returned to Tennessee in 2023 but didn’t last long. The 28-year-old got into multiple fights in training camp and was kicked out of practice on two separate occasions before being released.

He never played a single snap with the Titans and hasn’t seen the field in a regular season games since 2021. He appeared in 36 games during his stint with the Seahawks, and started in seven of them.
Jones offers some versatility, as he has experience playing at both guard and tackle. Assuming he can keep himself out of trouble, he’ll have a good shot to make the 53-man roster and grab a depth role with the slew of question marks the Lions have in terms of backup options upfront.
Jones will reunite with Lions left tackle Taylor Decker, who he was teammates with for two years at Ohio State.
