Will Terence Crawford win a world championship in a fourth weight class, or will Israil Madrimov spring the colossal upset when the pair collide at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on August 3? The 12-round bout, plus undercard action, will be broadcast on PPV by DAZN, ESPN+ and Prime Video.
Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) has been a world champion for over a decade and has established himself as one of the finest pound-for-pound fighters in the sport. However, this will be his first fight at 154 pounds and he’s in against the naturally bigger man.
“People are forgetting I’m strong and punch hard too,” said Crawford at the final press conference. “People keep thinking this whole fight he’s the bigger guy and stronger guy since I’m moving up in weight. We always have these same questions in other fights against bigger guys, but when they get in the ring with me, I’m stronger than they thought.”

Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) has looked terrific since turning professional in 2018. The only blemish on the Uzbekistan native’s record was a technical draw against Michel Soro, who was cut following a clash of heads. In March, Madrimov fulfilled a dream when he stopped Magomed Kurbanov to win the world title he now holds.
The Sporting News will provide undercard results and a full report on the main event from Los Angeles.
