WWE will go all out when it hosts SummerSlam at Cleveland Browns Stadium on August 3. Taking place in Ohio, home to WWE United States Champion Logan Paul and SummerSlam host The Miz, the PLE event features several title and grudge fights.
One of the main feuds receiving the spotlight is CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre. Punk has been a target of McIntyre’s since his WWE return in November. McIntyre helped injure Punk at the Royal Rumble, and the two have engaged in a war of words for months.
When Punk recovered, he made McIntyre’s life miserable, especially in title fights. As a result, McIntyre has attempted to involve Punk’s family. The time is now for the two to settle their differences.
“I’m a target for Drew. That’s really all there is to it. Drew keeps poking the bear. Sometimes you have to let them know who the man is,” Punk said on ESPN’s First Take via Fightful.
