Terence Crawford will look to prove his pound-for-pound supremacy once again when he takes on WBA super welterweight champion Israil Madrimov at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on August 3. The 12-round bout, plus undercard action, will be broadcast on PPV by DAZN, ESPN+ and Prime Video.
Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) has already captured world titles at lightweight, super lightweight and welterweight. In July 2023, the 36-year-old switch hitter from Omaha, Nebraska, turned in a dazzling display to stop Errol Spence Jr. in nine rounds and lay claim to the undisputed welterweight championship of the world.
“I’m going to be stronger at 154 pounds and be more energized,” said Crawford at the final press conference. “It’s going to be less stress on my body with the weight and I’m going to be ready. I’m good right now and I expect to win however it comes if it’s a knockout, a decision I expect to win.”

Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) is a former amateur star who has been fast-tracked to world title glory. In March, the Uzbekistan native scored a shuddering fifth-round knockout over Russian contender Magomed Kurbanov to win the vacant world title and his first defense is a dream assignment against a fighter he admires.
“[Crawford is] my favourite fighter, but I believe that I can prove that I’m the best in the world,” Madrimov stated. “I believe that anything is possible. My dream is to create something that nobody expects and win the fight that nobody expects me to win, and I believe I can do that Saturday.”
