Team USA’s pre-Olympic tune-up schedule keeps rolling on Saturday.
Team USA has been as good as advertised and they’re only getting better. Anthony Davis has been a monster through the first three exhibition games, and Stephen Curry broke loose in their last exhibition against future Olympics Group Stage opponent Serbia.
Now, there’s a chance that star forward Kevin Durant will make his 2024 Team USA debut against South Sudan after missing the first three tune-up games because of a calf injury.
South Sudan is set to participate in its first Olympics for men’s basketball and the roster has plenty of familiar faces. Several current and former NBA players will take the floor, including Carlik Jones, Marial Shayok, Wenyen Gabriel, Peter Jok, and JT Thor. It also has 17-year-old Duke commit Khaman Maluach, who is a five-star prospect and projected 2025 NBA Draft lottery pick.
The Sporting News has you covered with live updates, highlights, and more from Team USA’s exhibition game against South Sudan.
