The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are facing off in a highly-anticipated weekend matchup at Yankee Stadium beginning Friday night.
The stars certainly will be out in this matchup as both teams enter the weekend series as two of the best teams in baseball.
The Yankees enter the series opener Friday night with the best record in MLB while the Dodgers lead the NL West by eight games and have the second-best record in the National League.
Though we may see him at some point during the weekend, star Juan Soto isn’t in the lineup Friday night for the Yankees as he deals with left forearm inflammation, which was confirmed by an MRI on Friday morning.

The Dodgers will be rolling out the $ 325 million man in Yoshinobu Yamamoto against a tough Yankees lineup. Meanwhile, the Yankees are starting spot-starter Cody Poteet, who is filling in for the injured Clarke Schmidt.
The Yankees have won eight of their last 10 games and 12 of their last 14. This included a 7-2 stretch on the West Coast. The Dodgers are 6-4 in their last 10 games.
