The Los Angeles Chargers still need a prime option at the wide receiver position in the eyes of many media members and the proof of this is all of the trade proposals that continue to come up. The latest of those, put together by Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report, shows the Chargers as one of five teams putting forth an offer for Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins.
Though most reports have suggested that it is unlikely that the Bengals will move their No. 2 option in the passing game, the right offer can always change that. If Moton’s proposed offer were accepted, the Chargers would be making a great move. Here is a look at that offer:
Chargers receive: WR Tee Higgins
Bengals receive: 2025 second-round pick, 2025 fifth-round pick, 2025 sixth-round pick
In this scenario, the Chargers get a wide receiver who would become the No. 1 option for Justin Herbert in the passing game. They would have to part with three picks in next year’s draft class, which would be tough, but having two of those be on Day 3 of the draft makes it much easier to stomach.
Higgins has been looking for a new deal with the Bengals but this offseason, the team chose to place the franchise tag on him. That has left his future with the team uncertain.
#Bengals Tee Higgins, who requested a trade in March after being franchise-tagged, shared a message Thursday on Instagram after #Dolphins Jaylen Waddle new contract.

This has left many to wonder if Higgins could be obtained via trade. If there is a possibility, several teams could be in on a possible deal. But the Chargers would have to be considered one of the strong contenders to make a deal happen as Jim Harbaugh is likely to ignite a quick turnaround effort in L.A.
June 1 is a good date to circle on the calendar as teams can save some space against the salary cap by waiting until after that date to move players. In the case of Higgins, the Bengals would save over $ 21 million by trading him after that date.
