The New England Patriots have been working hard on the practice fields in the shadows of Gillette Stadium, but there’s still some business to get done away from the field.
On Friday, New England crossed another one of those things off of their to-do list, as they signed rookie offensive tackle Caedan Wallace to his rookie contract.
The Patriots selected Wallace in the third round of this year’s draft out of Penn State. Switching from right tackle to left, the former Nittany Lion will have a chance to earn the team’s starting job for Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Only two of New England’s rookies remain unsigned at this point – offensive lineman Layden Robinson and wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk.
