During the first day of trials between HYBE and ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, it was reported that HYBE made claims that Min Hee Jin insulted the NewJeans’ members and more.
It was claimed that although Min Hee Jin claims herself to be “NewJeans’ mother,” crying over the members mistreatment, she had been insulting them behind their backs. HYBE submitted messages that they claimed were from Min Hee Jin to other staff members, containing “just tell them to be humble, because even if they gain weight like pigs, we will make them popular,” as well as “they did not get popular because they’re good. What would they know? Just tell them to look in the mirror,” as well as “elementary school kids who get scolded because they can’t lose weight,” and more.
It was later reported that these claims were rejected by the court, who did not accept HYBE’s evidence. Later on, a controversial YouTuber by the name of Lee Jin Ho created a video about these messages. Although he provided illustrations of the messages, they were not real screenshots of the messages are were simply mockups created for the video. The same was done for claims by HYBE that Min Hee Jin had talked down on female employees. News reports claim that HYBE had shown the court partial and blurred-out messages allegedly from Min. Min Hee Jin’s legal representatives also raised objections to the messages as they were obtained during the forensics, claiming that they could have been cherry-picked and pieced together. The court acknowledged Min’s claim, rejecting HYBE on the basis of lack of legal evidence.
In response, netizens have been scathing, clamping down on HYBE.
- Just how little cards do they have to play that they’re doing this LOL. They must’ve have no proof that she tried to usurp power. I can feel how anxious Bang Si Hyuk is getting.
- ”Speak legal facts. Speak legal facts. Speak legal facts.”
- HYBE’s really too much.
- LOL They’re trying so hard. It’s so forced.
- LOL so funny. Even so, the public only remembers how LE SSERAFIM tried to steal NewJeans’ luxury advertisements.
- Can’t believe netizens and the jury are on the same page. Give us legal evidence.
- How is this related to her trying to usurp power? They’re just trying to sow discord, tsk.
- Yeah, not buying it. Please stick to legal facts.
Netizens have also uncovered the identity of the reporter who reported on HYBE’s claims against Min Hee Jin. They claim that Star1’s Kim Ye Na, who broke the above claims, has only been writing articles in favor of HYBE.
It seems like HYBE is only digging their own grave as far as netizens are concerned.
