In one of the best matchups of the 2025 NCAA Tournament so far, the last two teams to win back-to-back national titles meet in the second round on Sunday.
No. 1 Florida, the SEC champion, will square off with No. 8 UConn, the reigning national champion, at 12:10 p.m. ET at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
Florida enters this game coming off a 95-69 demolition of No. 16 Norfolk State in the first round on Friday night, where they looked every bit the part of a team that can make a run to the Final Four. It was the Gators’ ninth win in their last 10 games.

UConn comes into Sunday fresh off a 67-59 win against Oklahoma in the first round on Friday night, with guard Solo Ball scoring 14 points to lead the Huskies. UConn extended its March Madness winning streak to 13 games, tied with Duke from 1991-93 for the second-longest without missing a tournament.
The two teams are the last to win consecutive national titles. Florida cut down the nets in 2006 and 2007 under head coach Billy Donovan, while UConn is the two-time defending national champion under head coach Dan Hurley. This game should be electric, as two of the most successful programs in modern college basketball meet for the third time in the NCAA Tournament.
