Kim Sae Ron’s Aunt Alleges Actor Kim Soo Hyun Dated The Late Actress Since She Was 15, Blames Him For Her Death In A Damning Exposé
…the bereaved has come forward to defend the aunt who first exposed Kim Soo Hyun. In response to Lee Jin Ho threatening legal action against the aunt, calling her “fake” for having no actual relationship with the bereaved, Kim Sae Ron’s mother noted that the aunt has been in their lives for over two decades.
“Hello, this is Kim Sae Ron’s family.
Earlier, Lee Jin Ho claimed he is suing ‘Kim Sae Ron’s fake aunt.’
Mr. Lee Jin Ho, there is no such person in this family. The aunt is simply Sae Ron’s aunt, that is all. No harm done, ever. In fact, if there were someone falsely claiming to be Sae Ron’s relative, we would be the ones taking legal action, not you. I don’t understand why you are doing this. Why do I even waste time explaining this? Do you think that by constantly diverting the issue, the public will forget what you have done?
A real aunt, a fake aunt—why does that even matter? When Sae Ron was about six years old and started acting as a child, I met this person as a fellow mother of a child actor. We helped each other, taking turns managing household chores and serving as managers for our children, filling in for each other as needed. Over time, my children and I came to rely on and regard her as a real family. It has been nearly 20 years of considering her so. Likewise, I have been like an aunt to her children.”

Kim Sae Ron’s mother also confirmed that the aunt is speaking on behalf of the bereaved with their consent…
“When I’m sick, she is the first to drop everything and rush over to me. When I’m struggling, she stays up all night to listen. Sometimes, as family members do, we even argue when we don’t see eye to eye. When my children have things they can’t say to me, they tell her—and she listens like a friend or an older sister. She takes care of my children’s meals when I can’t, and I do the same for her. Isn’t that what family is? What more must one do to be considered a real aunt? Are there additional qualifications needed for you to see her as a part of my family?
For the past three years, while someone was systematically spreading false articles and mobilizing organized comments to torment Sae Ron, the only person by Sae Ron’s side was her family—including her aunt. From the day Sae Ron passed away until now, the aunt put her life on hold and has been staying by my side for over a month. If this isn’t family, then what is?
Once again, I make this clear: The so-called ‘fake aunt’ that Lee Jin Ho speaks of is someone that my family considers just like a real aunt. She has been entrusted with handling all external communications for us in a legitimate capacity, regarding this matter.”

…and slammed Lee Jin Ho for nitpicking her identity as a means to “distort the essence of the matter.”

Things between the bereaved and Lee Jin Ho took a turn for the worse when the YouTuber leaked a recorded phone call suggesting that Kim Sae Ron was blackmailed into getting married and getting an abortion. The late actress’s family has since denied the allegations made in the video.
