Following the news, NJZ shared their own message for fans on Instagram. In the posts, they started by using all of the members’ emojis and then a muscle emoji to show the strength of them all together.
They then did another post with a heart drawing, and inside was an infinite sign, heart emoji, and bunny emoji, showing the bond between the group and the fandom.
Yet, netizens had mixed reactions to the post. While some shared their support for the girls, others thought they needed to step back from social media and the emotions when it came to the serious matter, with some even mentioning ILLIT’s manager, who was involved in the controversy.

- “Sigh… The adults really messed up this time. These are just kids, but they’re being used as shields—what are they doing… “
- “Whatever happens, NewJeans fighting!”
- “Someone needs to manage their Instagram. The girls must feel so frustrated and mentally exhausted, but for now, it’s probably best if they don’t say anything.”
- “I’ve seen not just NewJeans’ side of the story but also what HYBE actually did. From what I’ve observed, I’m supporting NewJeans.”

- “The adults are really the worst… What did the kids do to deserve this? Sigh… I just hope they don’t get hurt anymore because of these awful adults.”
- “I honestly understand why that choice was made, but it’s such a shame that emotions played too big of a role in the decision…”
- “Hwaiting!”
- “At least apologize to the manager, NJZ.”
