Kim Soo Hyun‘s agency, Gold Medalist, has reportedly retracted its plans to communicate with the late actress Kim Sae Ron‘s family after the publication of a compromising photo of the former.
According to reports, a crisis management team under Gold Medalist was working toward meeting with Kim Sae Ron’s bereaved family to resolve the ongoing controversy through dialogue. But after a representative got in touch with her father over the phone, all communication was cut off. Despite their attempts to reach her father again, Gold Medalist didn’t receive any response.
Shortly after, Garo Sero Research Institute published a censored photo of Kim Soo Hyun washing the dishes with his pants down at Kim Sae Ron’s place. The photo was revealed by reporter-turned-YouTuber Kim Se Ui in retaliation for Gold Medalist’s unsatisfactory response to the accusations of Kim Soo Hyun dating Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor.

Gold Medalist responded to the photo’s publication by stating that it was taken in 2019 when Kim Sae Ron was an adult.
The photos disclosed by Gaseyeon were taken on December 14, 2019. There is no justifiable reason for indiscriminately exposing private photos of Mr. Kim Soo Hyun and the deceased.

According to an insider source, up until the publication of that explicit photo, Gold Medalist was trying to contact Kim Sae Ron’s family and clear up the “misunderstanding.” But the plan has now been scrapped.
In addition, Gold Medalist was reportedly considering sending condolence money to the bereaved family, but the idea was abandoned swiftly after Kim Soo Hyun’s photo was leaked. The reason behind the decision was to avoid any legal risks. Gold Medalist reportedly feared that sending condolence money, despite their intentions, could be seen as an attempt to bribe the bereaved family, especially if it were to be rejected.
