The group formerly known as NewJeans has revealed their new name, finally!

On November 29, NewJeans released an official statement announcing the termination of exclusive contracts with ADOR.
Since then, the group has continued activities, though while completing them, have not used the name NewJeans.

The group would likely need a new name due to licensing issues, and netizens previously discussed the different possibilities.
These questions have since been answered!
On February 6, the new account the group created on Instagram shared several updates, beginning with one that revealed the group would now be known as NJZ.
The accounts username also updated to include the new name, and shared new images of the group from their shoot with Complex Magazine.

The post also stated that the fans could look forward to an “exciting journey with NJZ in 2025!”
The group will also appear at ComplexCon 2025 Hong Kong as the headlining act, where they will perform new music.
