The group formerly known as NewJeans recently announced their new group name. Moving forth, the girls will now be known as NJZ. The change was reflected in their group’s Instagram account.
The group was forced to change their name to avoid any copyright issues as they have left their former company, HYBE. The group has yet to announce the Hangul pronunciation of their new name, although netizens have alrady speculated it to be “Nyu-Jin-Jeu,” which effectively would result in the English pronunciation to be “NewJeanz.”
