On January 22, BLACKPINK‘s Jennie announced her highly-anticipated studio album, marking the first full solo release since debuting.
Since then, the idol has released “Zen,” showing off a new side of herself.
The album, Ruby, won’t be released until March 7, but in the meantime, Jennie is providing plenty to keep fans busy. On January 27, the idol shared that another single would be released on January 31.
The track “Love Hangover” will feature American singer-songwriter Dominic Fike.
Jennie has already given a behind-the-scenes look at the video for the song, showing herself being filmed inside a coffin. Another of these clips were uploaded to TikTok, where a short snippet of the song can be heard.

The lyrics surprisingly contain a curse word, which is still considered uncommon for K-Pop artists to do.
We say it’s over
but I keep fucking with you
and every time I do
I wake up with this love hangover
it got me pouring for two
I swore i’d never do it again— Love Hangover lyrics
Like the other work from BLACKPINK members, Jennie seemings to also be pushing boundaries with her release. Many fans commented that they were already waiting in anticipation for the release, and shocked by the sudden preview.
