An upcoming boy group’s name has left many — including idols — unimpressed.
Over the last few months, the survival show Universe League has aired, showing the process of debuting a new boy group.
Despite its controversies, the show’s interesting premise and the many familiar faces drew viewers in.
Familiar Faces Among “Universe League” Contestants Spark Mixed Feelings
The final episode of the program aired on January 24, and before the winning team was announced, the upcoming group’s name was revealed. The nine-membered group will be called All-Time Hall Of Fame (AHOF or 아홉).
The Korean for the abbreviation is the number nine, while the official name likely is a reference to the sports-like attributes of the show.
Viewers had majority negative reactions to the name, making a variety of jokes about it.

In addition to the viewers having reactions to the name, some of the idols appearing on the show also showed their feelings about the name. Contestant Shuaibo could be seen laughing when the announcement was made, while GOT7‘s Yugyeom, one of the judges, also had a chuckle.
