It was a good sign for quarterback Aaron Rodgers at the New York Jets’ final stateside practice before traveling to London for the October 6 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
After landing on the injury report as a limited participant on Wednesday, the 40-year-old Rodgers practiced in full on Thursday. He’s listed with a knee injury, which apparently occurred on a third-down sack in the fourth quarter of the September 29 setback to the Denver Broncos.
Despite in visible discomfort, Rodgers did not miss a snap down the stretch in the 10-9 loss. Head coach Robert Saleh didn’t initially foresee the four-time NFL MVP landing on the injury report. During his Tuesday appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers admitted that his “knee is a little swollen.”
In a troubling development, starting right guard Alijah Vera-Tucker popped up on Thursday’s injury report with an ankle issue. Coming back from a torn Achilles, Vera-Tucker has started all four games thus far.
Meanwhile, right tackle Morgan Moses has already been ruled out for the Week 5 international affair, meaning rookie Olu Fashanu is in line to get another start. Moses, who was limited in practice Thursday, was unavailable for the Week 4 battle against Tennessee.
Veteran linebacker CJ Mosley was limited for the second day in a row. The defensive captain has missed the last two games due to a toe injury. Defensive tackle Leki Fotu, who looks ready to come off Injured Reserve, was a full participant.
The Jets and the Vikings will kick off at 9:30 am ET on October 6 in London.
