Upon the announcement, longtime CARATs (SEVENTEEN fans) expressed their disappointment. Many are planning to boycott.

i’m sorry but i’m afraid this would be the only skip track ever in seventeen’s discography, i love seventeen to death and will support the other tracks, but dj khaled wasnt the right move, and i hate to see his and seventeen’s name in one frame https://t.co/KNp6bK2wo2

Forever a Carat, been here since 2015, stop this. Stop featuring these people, research who you’re collabing with before you collab im begging.. https://t.co/tb7ALeM4Sc

The reason behind CARATs’ concerns is that they feel DJ Khaled is not a good person. Although his parents are Palestinian immigrants, he has been living a luxurious lifestyle and remained silent while there is an ongoing genocide in Palestine. Since October 2023, at least 41,615 people in Palestine (many of which were innocent children, women, etc.) have been killed, 96,359 are injured, and over 10,000 are missing due to Israel’s attacks, according to Al Jazeera.

He still hasn’t donated a SINGLE PENNY or even MENTIONED the genocide going on in Gaza…
Is he the worst Palestinian in the world right now? pic.twitter.com/nkRH1WICFB

DJ Khaled said he gets his jet washed EVERYDAY, but still hasn’t spent a PENNY or uttered a WORD about the Palestinians…

apparently im less of a carat because i don’t support dj khaled. mind you, he is known to be disrespectful to women, didn’t speak abt palestine (hes palestinian btw) and amidst the p diddy case rn? obviously I’m disappointed.
— zy 🍊 (@ZYRA4K) October 1, 2024
Additionally, CARATs are alarmed by DJ Khaled’s ties to Zionist organizations and persons, such as Scooter Braun, as well as Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing serious allegations of sexual assault, rape, pedophilia, and much more.
this is dj khaled btw. so if u think carats getting disappointed/angry/ witholding support for this collab aren’t “real” carats, then that speaks volumes abt u, yk? i guess it’s always “morals over k-pop” till u actually have to put morals over k-pop huh?pic.twitter.com/EBcj6I139W https://t.co/tIqs9rhzyR

Thank god someone said it! Do not fall for it. DJ Khaled is not a good person. His friendship with Diddy should be a big enough red flag! Also, the fact that he’s Palestinian & has remained SILENT about the GENOCIDE of his people. Hmm… I wonder why….🛴 #HybeDivestFromZionism https://t.co/1lKUXkNCQQ pic.twitter.com/sje0wcb4eP

Will support the other songs, but this. It feels wrong since it’s DJ Khaled we’re talking about. I don’t know the thought process behind this, but working w/ him is a choice, a questionable one. It’s okay to support Seventeen, but I hope Carats remember morals over fanaticism. https://t.co/XYNYDuLLox pic.twitter.com/E24kPTaDPG

CARATs are concerned that SEVENTEEN’s collab with DJ Khaled could taint their good image, especially with it being their upcoming title track. Many are voicing their outrage, declaring a boycott.
🚨CARATs!
We will NOT be streaming this collab. Not only has DJ Khaled been silent about the ongoing genocide, but he is also a friend of Diddy and a creative consultant of UMG. The biggest and most zionist music group out there.
Do not prioritise streams over morals. BOYCOTT! https://t.co/bcfX47dXhh pic.twitter.com/RfTmKw9Y5B

The collab that we don’t need 😔 DJ Khaled might be problematic, we don’t need Seventeen to involve in something problematic and no use to Carats.

I was praying so desperately that this wasn’t true. Why? Why? Why? Seventeen and their music is too precious to be tainted by alike of DJ Khaled who should be on everyone’s boycott list for MULTIPLE reasons. 🤢 Pledis, why chose someone like that? It better not be title track! 😠 https://t.co/e5mCL5ABDg
