Unlike the pool of fantasy-relevant wide receivers, the running backs are coming into the year quite healthy. There had been some injury scares at various points during the offseason, but it appears that the big-name backs are healthy as we begin the 2024 season.

Is Christian McCaffrey playing in Week 1?
Christian McCaffrey was held out for the entirety of the preseason after suffering a calf strain early in training camp. McCaffrey has also dealt with some Achilles discomfort in the week of practice leading up to the 49ers’ season opener on Monday Night Football against the Jets. As a result, he has been limited in both practices this week. However, he is expected to take the field in Week 1 and is a must-start in all leagues if he’s on the field.

Is Jaylen Warren playing in Week 1?
Jaylen Warren was forced to exit the Steelers’ first preseason game after suffering a hamstring injury. Following the injury, Warren’s availability for Week 1 came into question. Warren was limited in practice on Wednesday but was a full participant on both Thursday and Friday. He carries no injury designation heading into Sunday’s game and will take the field.
